- The biggest fish in the world reside in South Ari Atoll as where Dhangethi is located too. Whale shark is almost a guaranteed sight in this area as they will cruise along the reef. Commonly to be seen on the surface, it is easy to spot them and suitable to either diving or snorkeling. The area had been recognized as South Ari Marine Protected Area (SAMPA), due to the huge number of whale shark individuals here.
